Shepard committed to Mississippi State following a visit to campus on June 23. He picked the Bulldogs over an offer list that included Arkansas, Baylor and Texas Tech. He’s the highest-rated prospect in Mississippi State’s class.
“Mississippi State just felt like home,” Shepard said after his commitment. “The people there were loving my people. It was just different. The vibe at Mississippi State is just different.”
17. Michael Thomas III | Committed: Rutgers

Thomas announced his commitment to Rutgers on June 11 and became the highest-ranked member of a growing 2025 class. Shortly after he committed, the four-star wideout announced he would enroll early and arrive on campus in January.
“I really want to play as a freshman,” Thomas told Scarlet Nation. “I don’t want to sit out and do all that, but I really want to play, see what I can do, and develop myself so I can go to the league, man.”
