2. George MacIntyre | Tennessee commit
247Sports ranking: 4-star | 94 rating | No. 9 overall
Recruitment status: Committed to Tennessee
High School: Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy
Measurables: 6-5.5, 182
Scouting report: High-upside quarterback prospect with a franchise-worthy frame, college-level arm and fluid pocket movements. On the skinnier side, but is over 6-foot-5 and is likely going to fill out some more once he’s done with basketball. Possesses a cleaner stroke and can drive the football 50-plus yards. Shows touch on deep shots and will use trajectory to his advantage. Shouldn’t be viewed as a true dual-threat talent, but is elusive in the face of pressure and will slip/spin away from trouble. — Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins
Notes: George MacIntyre will not travel far for the start of his college career in 2025. The Tennessee native committed to the Volunteers in late January over a long list of offers that included Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon and many others. As a junior last season at Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy, MacIntyre completed 67.3% of his passes for 3,229 yards and 25 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. He helped the Eagles reach the quarterfinals of the Tennessee Division II-AAA State Playoffs. MacIntyre is a nephew of current Florida International head coach Mike MacIntyre.
